Who is God? Who am I? What is Life?

God is righteous in making the sinner righteous. If only God who is Holy, then I do believe than only God who is able to make me Holy as what is written in 1 Peter 1:16. I imagined if I am a robot designer, then only me who can design and empower my robot to work and to function as I intended it to be. Okay, I am not a robot, I am a human, I have free will and my own ego and thoughts but these stuffs are only representation of who is God as we are created in His image (Genesis 1:26). Thus having this consideration in mind, God also does have His own emotions and will. Just like Jesus. Jesus has all of human’s emotions as He had been tempted in every way possible when a man lives on earth yet He succeeds in victory without even one single sin (Hebrew 4:15). Jesus is actually representing the High Priests as in the Old Testament era where there is a need of intercessor between human and God. Even Job cried out to God if only he had a mediator for he acknowledged the distance between human existence and God’s Holiness (Job 9:33). Concerning all these things that have written in the Bible, I do believe that it is only God who can make me into the way I intended to be. This is His promise as it is written in Hebrews 10:16 and Jeremiah 31:33. This promise I do believe that is not only for the descendants for Israel but also for all nations for God so loved the world and do not favor one over another because if He is, then it is based on human works. (Romans 4:9-13; Acts 10:34; John 3:16). For I am the beloved one as God Himself is well pleased of Jesus and I inherit all of this stuff through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:5;Matthew 3:17).

In conclusion, I do believe that the key for me to sanctified to be like Jesus is through pondering and meditating who is Jesus. It is often to demonstrate my humbleness, I often use question like, “Who am I that you saved me?”, but one morning prayer before service, one question dawned on me that the question I have been forgotten to ask is, “Who is God?”. I want to focus on who really God is, the universe-maker, the God who understand what human felt, God of wonders, God of eternity who is able and willing to change me as I am destined to reign in this life over all. (Romans 5:17; Ephesians 6:12)
